What is Evidence Based Science?

While the question may seem odd, (after all, isn't all science evidence based?), history shows us, that much of what was called science, was actually not based on evidence at all, but belief, greed, ignorance, or worst of all, because everybody knows it is true.

Evidence based science is just what it sounds like. Science, based on evidence. Which leads to the question, what is science?
